Neuroscience and Rehab
Austin C. Myers, MD is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in Portsmouth, Dominica and completed his Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency training at East Carolina University / Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.
As he started pre-med courses, Austin was diagnosed with Stage IV Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. While he knew he wanted to pursue a degree in medicine before his diagnosis, that year of treatments just helped solidify his decision. Now, as a 17 year cancer survivor, he is passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
Dr. Myers has enjoyed living and practicing in Pocatello, and brings some unique skills to the practice, including interventional spine procedures, electrodiagnostics, multiple interventional treatments for back pain, peripheral joint pain, and musculoskeletal problems. Some of these procedures include genicular nerve blocks and radiofrequency ablation for chronic knee pain, occipital nerve blocks, and ultrasound guided injections as well. He also specializes in Botox therapy for spasticity (adults and pediatrics), chronic migraines, blepharospasm, torticollis, and cervical dystonia. In addition, Dr Myers is now treating headaches, and helps manage prosthetic care for amputees. He welcomes new patients, and enjoys working with local providers to help patients maximize their function, and make improvements in their activity.
