Cardiology
Christina Powers, DNP, FNP-BC is a family nurse practitioner certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and has earned a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Idaho State University.
Christina was drawn to a career in healthcare after her experiences with people in times of need. It is with great honor and pride that she works at Portneuf Medical Group Cardiology and has an opportunity daily to improve the lives of others. As the rate of heart disease and subsequent complications continues to rise at alarming rates, Christina felt called to help bring awareness to the importance of cardiovascular health.
Her areas of focus include educating patients about their condition(s), improving their quality of life, and helping patients and their families navigate the complex decisions surrounding cardiovascular care.
Originally from Washington, Christina moved to Idaho to be closer to family over 20 years ago. She joined the world of healthcare after a 15-year career in banking, which she credits for laying a foundation of inter- and intrapersonal growth that prepared her for the career change.
Outside of the office, Christina enjoys time with her granddaughter, travels to warm places, and finds joy in outdoor activities like snorkeling, kayaking, and camping.
