Hannah E. Caulfield, MD is a board certified General Surgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, a member of the American Hernia Society and an Affiliate Professor of Surgery at Idaho State University.

Hannah has had advanced training in Trauma surgery, Robotic surgery and Oncoplastic surgery. She is especially interested in surgery of the colon, breast, thyroid, parathyroid, hernia, gallbladder, robotic, laparoscopic, reconstructive and reflux operations.

Dr. Caulfield is extremely passionate about caring for her patients, and when she is doing that she says that she feels “like I am doing what I was always meant to do." After receiving her training from the University Of Vermont College Of Medicine and St. Joseph’s Medical Center Surgical Residency Program, a Level I Trauma center, she moved to Idaho, where she enjoys being a part of the Pocatello community.

When Hannah is not caring for her patients, she and her husband enjoy the various outdoor activities that the Portneuf Valley has to offer, including, backcountry skiing, mountain biking, hiking, swimming and more.

Dr. Caulfield is accepting new patients and looks forward to continuing to provide excellent care within her scope of practice.

Dr. Caulfield is an incredible surgeon and person! She truly cares about you on a personal level and it genuinely shows in her interactions with you. She makes you feel so comfortable and explains the surgical procedure thoroughly and answers all questions without feeling rushed. She is the best surgeon I've ever had! Dr. Caulfield is intelligent, knowledgeable, professional, efficient and friendly. I've been driving more than 100 miles round-trip for my appointments with Dr. Caulfield and the staff there, and it's been well worth it.

Dr. Caulfield was amazing. She never made me feel like she was rushing to get to the next patient. She listened to my concerns and explained the process I would be going through very thoroughly. She genuinely cares about her patients and is an excellent surgeon. I don't believe I could have had a better doctor.

Dr. Caufield removed some excess skin. Realistic expectations were set before, during and after the surgery. She really listened to what I was saying picking up on a past medical issue that the questionnaire didn't address. Her professionalism, friendly and cheerful disposition made it easy for me to feel comfortable and confident in her abilities. I was amazed that she was able make my stomach area look so good.

Dr Caulfield has performed 4 surgeries on me so far. A port placement, 2 lumpectomies and a partial mastectomy. Not only is she an amazing surgeon, she's also a wonderful person overall. Dr Caulfield will answer every question you have with kindness and respect but also with honesty and knowledge. She might be young but based on her knowledge you'd think she's been practicing for 30+ years. I would never go to anyone else for breast surgery due to cancer.
