Shawn T. Allman, DO is board certified in internal medicine. He graduated from Utah Valley University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Behavior Health. He received his Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from Pacific North West University and completed his residency training from the University of Florida at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Shawn chose a career in the field of medicine because he enjoys being challenged and appreciates that every day is a new adventure. Internal Medicine sparked his interest because it makes significant differences in people’s lives. It is rewarding for him to be able to meet people on their worst days, walk with them through their challenges and lead them towards health.
Prior to medical school, Shawn worked at McDonalds for 10 years, working hard to put himself through high school and college. Shawn grew up in Utah and still has most of his family there. He also lived in Mexico for two years and is fluent in Spanish. However, Shawn fell in love with Idaho during his 3rd and 4th year of medical school and believes it’s a great place to raise a family. He enjoys golf, basketball, spending time with his wife and children and watching BYU football.
