Taylor Read, PA-C

Taylor Read, PA-C is a certified physician assistant with Portneuf Heart and Vascular Institute. He first drawn to a career in medicine after having positive experiences as a patient receiving care from providers. Additionally, Taylor enjoys learning and found medicine to be a career path with endless opportunities for learning.

Prior to joining Portneuf, Taylor worked in urgent care. He worked with cardiac patients by referring them to a cardiology specialist, primary care provider, or the emergency department. Taylor wanted to further care for cardiac patients and see the other side of their care, so he took an opportunity to move to a cardiology clinic where he can get to know his patients and participate in their care long-term.

Taylor enjoys community service and has previously volunteered on a Search and Rescue team while living in Montana. Now as a Southeast Idaho resident, Taylor enjoys living closer to his extended family and taking advantage of the outdoor opportunities here. When he is not working, Taylor enjoys outdoor recreation, including hiking, camping, hunting, skiing, biking, and fishing.
